The copper mine plunges you into ancient history. The discovery and exploitation of bornite goes back 4,000 years and asks a lot of questions about this valley's past.
Modern operating methods were used from 1901 and were responsible for the digging of numerous galleries and the construction of buildings the remains of which are still visible.
Mining was permanently stopped in 1960.
